Pushing an athlete up a level is not the best development plan.
Elite athletes benefit immensely from mastering leadership skills, emphasizing self-competition over external comparisons, and cultivating a self-driven approach that elevates teammates. Encouraging athletes to excel within their age group fosters a genuine passion for personal improvement, ensuring their contribution to victories is maximized and not diluted by premature advancements.
Relevant Feedback
Split days are always difficult but better at this age where she can drive herself.
Daughter didnβt always feel challenged, particularly in final game day. Perhaps an opportunity to better engage athletes where they are at.
That said, daughter benefitted from individual critique.
My daughter said it was a great camp!
They were overall very helpful in all ways and helped my daughter recognize her potential and pushed her in a way that helped her achieve that
Sessions went well & my daughter enjoyed it. It was difficult to arrange driving all days (sheβll have her license by next year), but you might want to consider only 2 sessions to make it easier for parents to manage?
Thank you all for your dedication to developing young athletes & treating them with respect & growing their confidence.
