Intermediate Level
- Target Audience: Players typically grades 9-10 with "a bit more under their belt," often "club experience," or having "attended basic sessions before as a prerequisite or recommendation."
- Suitability for Daughter or Son : Not recommended at this time if under 11 years of age.
- Assumed Fundamentals: This level "assumes you've got a pretty solid handle on those fundamentals already." The focus "shifts...into like intermediate skill refinement gameplay strategy."
- Risk of Overwhelm: If her serve "isn't quite where she wants it to be yet," jumping into intermediate "might feel a bit overwhelming, like she's trying to keep up rather than focusing on her serve." This is akin to "trying to run before you've really mastered walking steadily."
- Frustration Risk: Placing her in a level where the overall skill assumed is too high when her goal is specific skill refinement could lead to "frustration," which "isn't great for learning or confidence."

Intermediate (Grades 9–10)
Athletes refine their setting skills by working on accuracy, decision-making, and consistency under pressure. Training includes setting from multiple positions, handling balls off the block, digging balls into the net and recovering them, and executing controlled out-of-system sets. Players will also learn to communicate with hitters, make quick adjustments to shanked or misdirected passes, and deliver sets that allow the offense to stay effective in transition.
