Basic 3rd Contact Session
Athlete Level - BASIC
Basic (Grades 6-10, Beginners with Some Experience)
Who is it for? Athletes in Grades 7-10 with at least one year of organized volleyball team experience OR completion of 5+ NexGen sessions OR attendance at one four-day academy camp.

Basic Level

  • Target Audience: Athletes in grades 7-10, requiring "at least a year of organized experience" or completion of NextGen sessions.
    • Experience Match: A "year of school league experience" perfectly fits the "at least a year of organized experience" criterion.
    • Foundational Reinforcement: It offers "actual coaching on the technique," allowing her to "reinforce the proper technique [and] get feedback from coaches." This is crucial for fixing "little hitches or bad habits" and building a "stronger, more reliable foundation on the skills." As stated, "it's often about tweaking those small things."
A refund will not be issued if the session's start date is within 7 days of the cancellation.
Each player must bring a volleyball to attend the session; the academy will not supply volleyballs.
Basic (Grades 7–8)
Athletes are introduced to the fundamentals of attacking and finishing the play. Focus areas include proper approach steps, jumping technique, arm swing mechanics, and safe landings. Players will also learn how to send controlled balls over the net when a full attack isn’t possible. The emphasis is on building confidence in contacting the ball above the net and developing consistency in transitioning from defense to offense.
