Lose the Turkey Christmas Camp

The Lose the Turkey Christmas Camp is designed for athletes who want to shake off the holiday break and return to the court ready for school and club season.

This camp is exclusively for girls who played on the 2026 Senior High School Team, with an additional ELITE 1 group running during the same time.

Why Join?

  • Sharpen Your Edge: Get back into game shape before school and club practices begin.
  • On-Court Training: Bring your own volleyball for an intensive training experience.
  • Skill & Endurance Building: Four days of 4-hour sessions designed to challenge your abilities and elevate your performance.
  • Exclusive T-Shirts: Camp t-shirts are available for purchase separately.

Eligibility

  • Grades 10–12 athletes who played on the 2026 Senior High School Team.
  • ELITE 1 Selection Only: Entry requires meeting strict performance and experience criteria.

ELITE 1 Selection Criteria

Do you have what it takes to be considered ELITE? Athletes will be evaluated on:

  • Age: 15–18 years old.
  • Experience:
    • High school volleyball every year since entering high school.
    • At least 2 years of club volleyball.
    • Previous attendance at a Making the Cut camp or 2+ years in the Academy Beach program.
    • Provincial team selection (if applicable).
  • Performance & Recognition:
    • Volleyball-related awards and achievements.
    • Work ethic and drive, recognized by coaches and teammates.
  • Commitment & Integrity:
    • Balancing school with training.
    • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership.
    • Consistent academic performance.

Our Philosophy

At Canadian Elite Academy, we believe that pushing an athlete up too quickly isn’t the best development plan. True growth comes from:

  • Mastering leadership skills.
  • Competing with yourself, not just others.
  • Elevating your teammates through example and effort.

Elite athletes stand out not only for their skill, but for their attitude, integrity, and passion for the game.

Train Hard. Dream Big. Make Your Mark.

This camp is your chance to reset, refocus, and return to the court stronger than ever.

Sessions went well & my daughter enjoyed it. It was difficult to arrange driving all days (she’ll have her license by next year), but you might want to consider only 2 sessions to make it easier for parents to manage?
Thank you all for your dedication to developing young athletes & treating them with respect & growing their confidence.

Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback. I am bringing up the following points as a paying parent’s observation.

  1. The facility was far too hot and full of pesky mosquitos. This may have been out of your control but I would let them know that the conditions were not acceptable for an indoor elite sports camp.
  2. Skill level was not as expected for Elite 1 players. Rather than 12 sessions across 4 days consider condensing sessions for high performance players across 2 days and the remainder for Intermediate players (less is sometimes more!). Or do not promote camp as Elite 1 to begin with if it is open to all players / skill levels.
  3. Coach to player ratio seemed higher than we anticipated from the promotion of the camp.

We appreciate what the academy does for the volleyball community. Overall, this camp was not as expected, for the price we paid. Thank you for your openness to consider these remarks to enhance future camps.
